Site Engineer – Civil

We are currently recruiting Site Engineers (Civil) to be based in the Thames Water & Southern Water areas in the South East of England. Your role as a site engineer with Ward & Burke will primarily involve planning, designing, and managing construction projects.

Responsibilities includes, but is not limited the following:

• Setting out, levelling, and surveying onsite.

• Project procurement and organisation of material, sub-contractors and plant, including planning work schedules.
• Ensuring work is being executed in a safe manner and managing CDM compliance on site.

• Liaison with project stakeholders.

• Analysis of drawings, specifications, and other documentation for accuracy of calculation including the analysis of labour, plant and materials costs.

• Conduct quality control inspections to ensure that work meets project standards and specifications.

• General site paperwork and assist with the management of the site including supervision of the site labour force and work of subcontractors.

• Perform site tasks, cube making, site activities logs and other relevant tasks as required.

Requirements: 

• Ideally have 1-3 years experience working in Civil Engineering or Construction.

• B.Sc. Degree or higher, in Civil or Structural Engineering

• Confident using Microsoft packages and AutoCAD

• Excellent communication skills

• Excellent planning, organisational, teamwork and presentation skills

• Full clean drivers’ licence
